My beta fish, Quad, died today :(
I just got home from work and found him dead.
Some times last week I noticed he had a lump around his gill cover.
I thought that's normal but few days ago I noticed the lump was getting bigger.
He hardly can swim and surface whenever I feed him.
At first I laughed when I found out what's wrong with him.
I thought I was reading jokes from people on the net that has similar problem.
I found it hard to believe when I read:
"Your beta fish is having a tumor."
Quad was around 2 years and I really feel very bad when there's nothing much I can do for him...

@m8: dmlm udah tu mcm ia nazak.kesian x aa ku meliat like he's teribbly suffering the pain. Basar wah lump nya atu, mcm bejagok m8, mun menanang pun nda dapat, asal kan surfacing mmg tenggelam. Rawan atiku meliat :(
Ku browse the net, iatahtu katanya normally lau beta fish ani hayatnya 1-2 yrs sja. Lau dorg mati its either mati of natural causes or ada infection or end up having tumor...
Lau udah ada tumor atu, nada g dpt buat apa2 m8...:(
hmmm... rawan ati ku membaca eh. nda apa la m8 if andang dah hayatnya nda lama. well, at least you had been a very good owner to him.. that gotta count for something, right?

I still have that single lesbian beta fish ~ smoochy, which i've no idea how to relate w her.
I've to get over it somehow...

Aww honey, I'm sorry he passed away! The world is always a worse place when it loses a BETA (got it? GOT IT? Ok, that was horrible, never mind...).
But he's probably much better now, you know! He's healthy again!
Besides, Smoochy's still here, and it needs your attention! ;)

sorry i'm late..i was expecting at least he'll be gone after next few weeks..i'm so sorry didz..haven't googled about that lump on his throat..
Yes, Quad has always been a good companion to you and you have been a BEST pet owner to him..somehow i felt attached with Quad too..beanie's sad now..
Anyways, do take care of smoochy..she's kinda lonely now for sure..
