::That carrot juice::

My fiance took me out for dinner earlier this evening. We were dining at one of the well known delicious seafood restaurants around his neighborhood.

He ordered the carrot juice with milk. Here's the thing - When the waitress finally served us with the dish we ordered, she accidentally slipped her thumb on my fiance's drink! Gross! How that happened? - I've no idea. I guess she must be a clumsy too!

She realized it was her mistake, apologized and nicely said she will replace it with a new one. We were fine with it. Soon the new one came..my fiance and I started with the wild imagination again...

Him: "What if this is the same drink as before? Maybe she just topped it up."
Me: "Dare to try? Taste it if it taste like someone's thumb!"

He took a sip, eyes were rolling up trying to figure out what's the taste like...I was anxious waiting for his answer.

Him "....This juice is tasteless now. It was sweet before!"

Haha! I almost passed out hearing his answer.

Actually sometimes you can't help but doubt if the restaurant is being honest with you. Tasting stuff should be on me as I am the Food Taster Officer but in this case... hell no!
I even wonder if she has replaced the glass too....!

All in favor says: EEWWWWW!!!

I have often wondered what goes on the the kitchen. Sometimes, ignorance really is bliss! :-) Carrot juice is not a big thing in the United States. In fact, I'm not sure it's something served in many (if any) restaurants. We have something called V8 that you can buy in stores. It's a veggie drink, but mostly it's tomato juice. I think it's really good. Carrot juice sounds really icky to me! Is it good?

I agree! Ignorance is bliss applied when I used to work as the Food QCA before and still is whenever I dine out. I think that product you mentioned, V8 is being sold here in our country. I can eat veggie well but not really fond of having it as a drink. Carrot juice turned out to be ok. If you don't like it plain, try to mix it with some orange juice. That's how I like to take it with :)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Jamie, really appreciate it ;)

i dont know if it's true that waiters or waitresses when they are mad at a customer, try to do a nasty thing on the ordered food to get back and even. this is ridiculous i know but we never know. . .

@Imelda:
I also heard something like that before. Scary isn't it? I hope things like that won't ever happen to us..

LOL!!! So funny BUT I so agree. You never know if they honestly bring you a "new" drink/food or not. Maybe if we follow them into the kitchen? :P

I worked in some very fine restaurants. You really don't want to know. :)

I prefer to cook at home, now.

@Erik: Hehe. I think I know what you meant by that. I worked in the food industry before and checked on those microorganisms on food...things that you also don't wanna know. lol! Thanks for sharing Erik! :)
